Position: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst - Atlanta

Summary:
This role plays a vital part in Peachtree Foods’ financial operations, focusing on analyzing and interpreting financial data to drive decision-making and support business growth. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for managing budget planning, forecasting, and financial modeling while working closely with different departments to provide insights that align with company objectives and operational strategies.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead and coordinate the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes. Partner with department heads to understand business drivers, review financial performance, and make recommendations to align budgets with company goals.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key variances, trends, and business drivers. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational changes.

Financial Modeling and Scenario Analysis:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate the impact of various business decisions, new product launches, and other initiatives. Create scenario analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities.

Performance Metrics Development:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments, offering insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall performance. Provide actionable recommendations based on performance data.

Business Partnership and Support:
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other departments to provide financial insights, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and support strategic decision-making.

Data Management and Systems Enhancement:
Maintain and improve financial databases and reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Work with IT to enhance systems for better reporting and analysis capabilities.

Process Improvement:
Continuously seek ways to improve processes for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to streamline operations and enhance decision-making.

Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related field. Experience in foodservice, hospitality, or consumer goods industries is favorably considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (advanced skills required).
  • Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • SQL experience very favorably considered
